Amity-based State Police said two people were found dead after a disturbance on Botsford Hollow Road on Sunday night in the Town of Allen.
Troopers said they responded at 10:06 p.m. and the person of interest is in custody and there is no threat to the public.
The incident took place at a residence, but it is unknown if it is a home or hunting camp.

Troopers said, “No more information will be released at this time. More information will be released as this investigation continues. This is an ongoing criminal investigation.”
On a Facebook page called WNY Incident Alerts, a post was made saying the initial call was a double fatal shooting and a suspect was at large.
The page said there was an all-point bulletin that said the suspect was turning themselves in to a state police barracks or a police station in Livingston County.

While the location where the person was taken into custody is unknown, the New York State Police did confirm they have the suspect in custody.
