Allegany County Legislature appoints Kevin S LaForge as District IV Legislator

Belmont, N.Y. – At the November 12 Legislative Board meeting, Board members unanimously appointed Kevin S. LaForge to fill the remainder of former Legislator James M. Rumfelt’s term as a District IV Legislator through December 31, 2025.  District IV covers the towns and villages of Andover, Ward, and Wellsville.

Mr. LaForge previously served as a District IV Legislator from January 1, 2010, through December 31, 2017, and was recently elected to serve a three-year term as a District IV Legislator from January 1, 2026, through December 31, 2028.

Chairman W. Brooke Harris stated, “Kevin brings with him a wealth of knowledge from his prior service on the Board, along with experience, dedication, and a strong commitment to the people of District IV and all of Allegany County.  The entire Board looks forward to working with Kevin.”

Legislator LaForge thanked District IV voters and the Legislative Board for the confidence they have placed in him, noting that he is honored to serve as a legislator again and will do his best to represent the people of District IV and all of Allegany County with integrity and purpose.
