Buffalo Bills Themed Raffle & Tailgate Party – September 28, 2025

Belmont, NY – The Belmont Legion Post 808 is proud to announce a community benefit in support of Dan and Lisa Cook on Sunday, September 28, 2025. The event will feature a Buffalo Bills Themed Raffle and Tailgate Party, complete with basket raffles, a 50/50 drawing, and a delicious pulled pork dinner prepared by Josh Graham.
Dan Cook, a dedicated member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 702 in Wellsville, was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer in April 2024. Despite a grim prognosis, Dan has shown remarkable strength, surpassing the initial timeline doctors gave him. His wife, Lisa Cook—an Auxiliary Member of Unit 808 and part-time cleaner at the Legion for over five years—has stood by his side, caring for him through every step of his battle. Unfortunately, Dan’s treatment options have now been exhausted, and the family continues to face significant medical and living expenses.
“As a Legion family, we want to rally behind Dan and Lisa,” said event organizer Tracy Keifer-Stephens. “They’ve given so much of themselves to our community, and now it’s our turn to show our love and support.”
The Buffalo Bills Tailgate Benefit will include:
- Bills Themed Basket Raffles & 50/50
- Outdoor & Indoor Game Viewing (weather permitting)
- Pulled Pork Dinner by Josh Graham
- Fun Tailgate Atmosphere with Red, White & Blue Bills Mafia Spirit
Pre-Sale Dinner Tickets are $15 and will be available starting Friday, August 29th at 6 p.m. at the Legion. Tickets can also be reserved by texting Tracy at 585-808-8818.
The Legion is also seeking donations of raffle items, especially Bills or Tailgate-themed baskets, red/white/blue items, or gift cards. Donations should be delivered to the Belmont Legion by September 25, 2025 to allow time for organization and display.
“All proceeds will go directly to help Dan and Lisa with their medical and living expenses,” Tracy added. “We are emphatically grateful for any support our community can provide.”
