Senator Doug Mastriano, Chairman, Senate Veterans Affairs & Emergency Preparedness Committee, and Senator Chris Dush, PA 26th District, to speak at the Eldred WWII Museum to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of VJ-DAY.

Eldred, PA – Senator Doug Mastriano, Chairman, Senate Veterans Affairs & Emergency Preparedness Committee, and Senator Chris Dush, PA 26th District, will speak at the Museum on Tuesday, September 2nd.
The Senators will visit and speak on September 2nd, 2025, at approximately 11:00 am in the Museum’s Mitchell Paige Hall. The event is free and open to the public.
The program will include the posting of Colors by the Smethport American Legion, the National Anthem sung by Katie Barrett, a video entitled “Victory in Japan,” speeches by Senator Mastriano, Senator Dush, and Steve Appleby, Curator Emeritus of the Eldred WWII Museum, and “God Bless America,” sung by the Otto Eldred High School Choir.
In addition, we hope to have two WWII Veterans in attendance, Mr. Richard Bondi and Mr. Bernard Adams.
