Temporary Road Closure Announced for County Route 117 in the Town of West Union

NO DETOUR: The Rexville-Troupsburg Road will be CLOSED June 16 through June 20

Bath, NY — Eric Rose, Commissioner of the Steuben County Department of Public Works, has announced that County Route 117 (Rexville-Troupsburg Road) will be closed to all through traffic between State Route 248 and Harkenrider Road in the Town of West Union starting Monday, June 16, 2025, through Friday, June 20, 2025.

The closure is necessary to facilitate the installation of a new cross culvert pipe. The work is expected to be completed within the five-day window, weather permitting.

No official detour will be posted. Motorists are advised to use local roads to navigate around the closure and plan accordingly for any delays.

The Department of Public Works appreciates the public’s understanding and cooperation as we work to improve and maintain vital infrastructure across Steuben County.
