Community Invited to a Special 20th Anniversary Celebration on October 29 from 6–8 p.m.

The Wellsville Creative Arts Center is celebrating 20 years of bringing art, music, education, and community together, and everyone is invited to join the celebration!

On Thursday, October 29, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., the Wellsville Creative Arts Center will open its doors for a special 20th Anniversary Community Open House, honoring two decades of creativity, connection, and the people who have made the Center such a special part of Wellsville.

Guests will enjoy an evening of live music, tours of the ceramic studios, a nostalgic look back at 20 years of memories and milestones, and, of course, anniversary cake!

Since opening its doors in 2006, the Wellsville Creative Arts Center has grown into a vibrant gathering place where creativity thrives and friendships are formed. From pottery classes and art exhibitions to live music, performances, and community events, the Center has welcomed generations of artists, students, musicians, and neighbors through its doors.

Kathie Stedina says,”The Art Center is my happy place, my home away from home.”

Perhaps one of the most meaningful testaments to the Center’s impact is that many of its students have been taking classes since the original ribbon cutting in 2006. Twenty years later, those same students continue to gather, create, learn, and share friendships built around a love of art.

“I’ve been coming to the Art Center since it first opened. I love making pottery and creating new things, but what makes this place truly special is the community of people who share a passion for making and all that the Art Center has to offer,” said Nancy Reuning.

The Art Center’s story is also one of preservation, vision, and an extraordinary investment in the future of downtown Wellsville. What began as an effort to save a historic building became an extensive renovation that transformed the property into a thriving cultural and community destination. Founders Andy and Tina Glanzman’s commitment to the building has continued well beyond the original restoration. In partnership with NY State and its NY Forward initiative beautiful new apartments on the second and third floors will open in 2027. The Glanzman’s continue to reinvest in the Art Center, helping ensure its long-term sustainability and creating a lasting asset for the Wellsville community. With ongoing investments, their vision will extend far beyond their own lifetimes, preserving a place where future generations can live, gather, learn, and create.

“For 20 years, the Wellsville Creative Arts Center has been about so much more than art. It’s about creating a place where people feel welcome, discover something new, and connect with one another,” said founder Andy Glanzman. “This anniversary celebration is our opportunity to say thank you to the incredible community that has supported us, inspired us, and helped make the Art Center what it is today.”

Whether you’ve been part of the Art Center’s story since the beginning or have yet to walk through its doors, this celebration is for you. Come reconnect with old friends, share memories, explore the space, and help celebrate the next chapter of creativity in Wellsville.
