Elliott plays the key role of Assistant Director of Wellsville’s gem and the home of the Monday Club
From Nora Burdick, Monday Club Publicist
Kate Elliott stepped to the front of the room with the confidence of someone at home in her role as assistant director of the David A. Howe Public Library (DAHPL). Comfortable with a laptop, projector, and center stage, she coordinated each element seamlessly. Since arriving in Wellsville, Kate has embraced the library’s culture while contributing fresh ideas and enthusiastic professionalism.
Kate’s path to Wellsville has been long and varied, spanning real estate law, seminary studies, international nonprofit work, and higher education before leading her to her current role as assistant director—a résumé Barbie might envy. Outside of work, Kate pursues fiber art and bookbinding and has led library workshops in both.
As assistant director, Kate’s responsibilities include booking performances, shows, and exhibits; drafting budgets; and researching funding sources.
She also steps in to other roles as needed. Open to suggestions, Kate encourages members of the public to email her: elliottk@stls.org
