Planning is underway now for the future home of “learning, connection, and opportunity”
From the Rushford Free Library,
The Rushford Free Library Board of Trustees is excited to announce plans to build a new library for the Rushford community—a project that represents an investment in education, lifelong learning, and the future of our town.
For generations, the Rushford Free Library has been a welcoming place where neighbors gather, children discover the joy of reading, students find resources to learn, and community members connect. As the needs of our community continue to grow, so does the need for a modern, accessible library that can better serve residents of all ages.
The proposed new library will provide expanded spaces for children’s programs, educational workshops, technology, community events, quiet study, and gathering places for local organizations. It will be designed to meet current accessibility standards while preserving the warm, welcoming spirit that has always defined the Rushford Free Library.
“This is more than a building,” said Rebecca Cole, Director of the Rushford Free Library. “It is an investment in our children, our families, and the future of Rushford. Libraries continue to evolve as centers for learning, connection, and opportunity, and we want to ensure our community has a library that will serve generations to come.”
Planning for the new library is currently underway. Over the coming months, the Board will share design concepts, project updates, fundraising opportunities, and ways for community members to become involved.
The success of this project will depend on the support and enthusiasm of the entire community. Whether through donations, volunteering, attending events, or simply sharing the vision with friends and neighbors, every contribution will help bring this exciting project to life.
The Board invites everyone to follow the project’s progress and participate as plans move forward. Together, we have an opportunity to create a library that reflects the heart of Rushford while preparing for the future.
