Every chance you take at winning helps make the day a win for the kids of Rehema Home
Come to the Brookside Wesleyan Church on Andover Road in Wellsville.
From Shaye Reagan, Rehema Home
WELLSVILLE, NY , What do Buffalo Bills gear, Christmas gifts, power tools, maple syrup, LEGOs, gift cards, pet treats, and a $100 bill have in common?
They are just a few of the 65+ raffle items waiting at this Saturday’s Basket Raffle for Rehema Home.
There’s something for nearly everyone. Among the baskets are Bedtime for Bunnies, Someone Worth Melting Over, Reindeer Treats & Santa Sweets, Spoil-Me Slumber Party, Buffalo Bills and Pittsburgh Steelers tailgate collections, Northern Lights, “Kids Will Be Kids,” LEGO, BBQ, ice cream, breakfast, Halloween, fall, Christmas, cat and dog lovers, pottery, scrapbooking, cookies, car care, and more.
And if baskets aren’t your thing, there are hundreds of dollars worth of gift cards from local businesses, plus a multi-purpose oscillating tool, a memory foam pillow, a $100 bill, and plenty of other surprises.
And come hungry! Stearns Chicken BBQ dinners will be served from noon to 3 p.m., eat in or take out. Last year’s BBQ sold out, so if you’re already dreaming about that chicken, get your ticket early by calling or texting 585-808-1256.
The Basket Raffle and Chicken BBQ are all part of Wellsville’s Amazing Race for Rehema Home, happening Saturday, October 3, at Brookside Wesleyan Church on Andover Road in Wellsville.
While there are plenty of chances to win throughout the day, there’s an even bigger reason behind it all: net proceeds from the entire day benefit the work of Rehema Home in Kenya.
Rehema Home exists to nurture orphaned and abandoned children into a family, where they can grow up surrounded by belonging, care, opportunity, and love. Victor and Silas, pictured here, are two of the children who call Rehema Home home. They put faces and names to what this day is really about. Not simply raising money, but being part of a family where children are known, loved, and given what they need to grow and thrive.
Every basket ticket, chicken dinner, and Amazing Race team helps make that work possible.
And you don’t have to participate in the Amazing Race to enjoy the other festivities. Stop by between noon and 3 p.m. to browse more than 65 raffle items, grab a Stearns Chicken dinner, and spend some time with us.
You might head home with a great prize. Either way, the kids of Rehema Home win.
