Jacob M. “Jake” Ordway, 45, passed away September 13, 2026 at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pa. following a long journey of health concerns.
Jake was born April 23, 1981 in Hornell to Michael and Patti (Ray) Ordway. He was a graduate of Canisteo Central School class of 2001 and had been employed as a security guard for Securitas. Outside of work, he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by a son Byron Ordway of Hornell, his father Michael Ordway of Hornell, a brother Kyle Ordway of Canisteo, his paternal grandmother Lora Ordway of Hornell, several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his mother Patti Jo Ordway, maternal grandparents, Ben and Doris Ray and paternal grandfather Ronald Ordway.
Private services and interment will be at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Kidney Fund and National Kidney Foundation or American Diabetes Foundation.
