Two 7pm performances at the Nancy Howe Auditorium in Wellsville

WELLSVILLE, NY: Starlight Theatre Company will pay tribute to the everyday heroes of 9/11 with “110 Stories,” a play by Sarah Tuft based on the real-life experiences of the first responders, medical personnel, World Trade Center employees, bystanders, and rescue workers on and after September 11, 2001.
This event will be free to the public as a David A. Howe Public Library program, and is sponsored by the Wellsville Development Corporation. Performances run September 11th and 12th at 7 PM at the Nancy Howe Auditorium in Wellsville.
While admission is free, a $10 donation is suggested, as the event is also a fundraiser to benefit the Wellsville volunteer fire departments and ambulance corps.
“This year is the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks and we wanted to do something special to honor the ordinary people who stepped up that day to help their fellow man, as well as remember the lives lost,” said director Ryan Keib. “We hope the community will join us for this show, which beautifully highlights the resilience of the human spirit and the power of coming together during hard times.”
“110 Stories” is nonpolitical, focusing on the perspectives of the real-life people who were there at Ground Zero. Based on interviews, this docu-play weaves together their unflinching, freaked-out and occasionally funny accounts. “It’s a very moving story,” continues Keib. “How these people overcame the impossible is powerful and hopeful. You won’t want to miss this incredible story.”
Doors open thirty minutes before show time at the Nancy Howe Auditorium.
