This Pay What You Can event is August 31st in Wellsville with Kayla and Lauren
From Staff Reports,
Kayla Kalkhof of Meraki Salon and Lauren of Gallery Guthrie are teaming up for a Pay What You Can community event to help local families head into the school year feeling a little more confident, without adding another big expense to the back-to-school list.
August 31st | 4–7 PM
Island Park Pavilion | Wellsville, NY
This event is open to local kids and families, and pay what you can means exactly that. There is no set price and no expectation to pay a certain amount. Give what is comfortable for your family, whether that is a little, the typical cost of these services, or nothing at all. We want this to be accessible to the families who could use it.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Kayla will be offering boys’ and girls’ haircuts and trims. Please arrive with hair clean, dry, and ready to cut. This event is intended for back-to-school cuts and trims rather than major transformations, color services, or other full salon services.
Gallery Guthrie will be creating a quick back-to-school portrait of each child, with 3 professionally edited digital images delivered per child. These are intentionally short portrait sessions so we can serve as many local families as possible during the event.
This is a community giveback event, so please come expecting things to move a little differently than a traditional salon appointment or full photography session. We’ll be keeping everything simple, fun, and moving along so every kid gets their turn.
No elaborate outfits required, no perfectly behaved children required, and definitely no need to stress about making everything picture perfect. Come as you are, get those fresh school-year ends cleaned up, grab a few beautiful photos, and head into September feeling good. 🤎
