Surviving are 2 daughters, including Denielle Smith of Hornell; his brother, Michael Troy; his sister, Kelly Tubbs; along with 2 grandchildren, Peyton Smith and Lila Smith.
A special thank-you to Robert “Bob” Potter, a lifelong friend who was truly like a brother to David. Their bond was filled with laughter, stories and plenty of bickering. Bob was family to David, and their love, loyalty, and lifelong friendship will always be cherished and remembered.
At David’s request there will be no calling hours. A “Celebration of Life” will be held at a later date.
Funeral arrangements are in care of the Dagon Funeral Home, 38 Church St., Hornell, NY.
David’s family request that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
