ACAF Grant Applications Open Through August 21

Local non-profits serving Allegany County residents are encouraged to apply for funding.

The Allegany County Area Foundation (ACAF) is currently accepting grant applications from local non-profits. Applications should be submitted by Friday, August 21 for consideration ahead of the Foundation’s next Grant Committee Meeting on Wednesday, August 26.

ACAF welcomes applications for new or special projects that demonstrate a meaningful benefit to Allegany County residents. Grant applications are reviewed by the Foundation’s Grant Committee, with final awards approved by the ACAF Board of Directors.

Allegany County Area Foundation Grants aid Historical Society, Oil Museum, and Palmer Opera House

During its June grant cycle alone, ACAF awarded more than $11,700 to local organizations. These grant awards supported summer reading programs, outdoor theatre performances, and community sports programs.

Organizations interested in applying can learn more about ACAF’s grantmaking policies and complete an application online through the Foundation’s website: alleganycountyareafoundation.org/grants.
