Borbeski hails from Penn Yan NY with a agricultural engineering background

Belmont, NY – The Allegany County Democratic Committee (ACDC), which represents thousands of registered Democrats in the county, has voted to endorse Jim Bobreski of Penn Yan, NY as its candidate for New York State Senate in District 58.
The 58th Senate district includes the Allegany County towns of Grove, Birdsall, Burns, Almond, Alfred, Ward, Scio, Wellsville, Andover, Willing, Independence, and Amity, which encompasses the county seat of Belmont. Also in the 58th district are the counties of Steuben, Yates, Schuyler, Chemung, Tioga, and Seneca.
Mr. Bobreski is a political newcomer but comes to this race with a diverse background, primarily in energy for the coal, oil, gas and nuclear industries. As a process control engineer he is engaged in developing robotics for agriculture, as he’s also a farmer and is using his creativity and problem-solving skills to develop an efficient water collection and irrigation system operating on renewable, generated-on-site energy along with his robotics. He published a monthly column on Alternate Energy prior to his candidacy and is the author of Alternate Energy and Climate Change in the Age of Trump.
According to ACDC chair Karen Ash, “Jim has impressed us with his knowledge of multiple issues facing rural voters. Notably, as New York State continues working toward its Climate Act goal of 70% renewable energy supplying the grid by 2030, Mr. Bobreski’s expertise in the areas of renewable / alternate energy is head and shoulders above that of the incumbent. We look forward to Jim’s leadership on this and other issues when he is elected in November.”
