Another year, another Bolivar Pioneer Oil Days Celebration. This coming Wednesday evening the annual Oil Days celebration will feature a concert presentation, and the Mosaic Women’s Chorus and the Genesee Valley Chorus will join in harmony to celebrate in concert form.

AMERICA: CELEBRATING 250 YEARS CONCERT
BOLIVAR-RICHBURG Auditorium Wednesday, June 24, 7:00 P.M.
The Bolivar Pioneer Oil Days celebration week, June 21-28, will host a patriotic concert celebration on Wednesday evening, June 24 at 7:00 PM in the Bolivar – Richburg High School auditorium.
The joint concert, an annual event sponsored by the Bolivar Lions Club, will be under the direction of Norene Ferris and Matthew Purks-Morris. This event will feature the Genesee Valley Chorus, Mosaic Women’s Chorus and several guests. Both instrumental and choral students from grades 3-12 will present selections. The 3rd grade select choir, under the direction of elementary music teacher Chris Keir, will sing some patriotic songs, and older students will be involved in presentations celebrating America’s birthday.
Also joining the choirs will be Heather Iantorno and Liz Crawford on piano, Eli Denecke on trumpet, Adam Stack on guitar and Dan Brown as a guest soloist. Many patriotic favorites will be performed, including America the Beautiful, Let There Be Peace on Earth and God Bless America.
A tribute to the Armed Forces will be a highlight, and the audience is invited to sing along during your favorites. The concert is sure to entertain and inspire!
The concert is free, and the auditorium is air conditioned. An elevator is available near the main entrance. Please join us.
