Shea’s Presents Fillmore Central with $1,500 Grant for the School’s Musical Theatre Program

Shea’s Performing Arts Center recently visited Fillmore Central School to present a grant totaling $1,500 towards the school’s musical theatre arts program. Fillmore Central School’s production of Hadestown: Teen Edition earned the bronze prize for “Outstanding Production of a Musical” in Shea’s Wonder Awards, earning $1,000, as well as an additional $500 prize for winning the “Outstanding Collective Ensemble Performance” category.
In total, Fillmore Central earned 5 awards for their production of Hadestown: Teen Edition including additional awards for: “Outstanding Music Direction,” “Outstanding Leading Performances,” and “Outstanding Collective Vocal Performance.”
On May 16th, more than 1,600 students from 25 Western New York schools took part in the 2026 Shea’s Wonder Awards, Shea’s High School Musical Theatre Awards Program. Shea’s Wonder Awards celebrate High School Musical Theatre excellence in categories related to best performance, vocals, dance, music, lighting, costume, hair and makeup, choreography, and more.
