Tristen is a 2024 Wellsville graduate and is on the Dean’s List at SUNY Oswego

We are very excited to announce that Tristen will be joining the Wellsville Sun team over the summer break from college! More exciting is that Tristen is a journalism student who will bring a youthful perspective to our news this summer with a professional focus. Here is a little introduction from Tristen:
Hi! My name is Tristen Amidon and I’m a junior at SUNY Oswego studying journalism but I live in Wellsville for the few months I’m not at school. I’ve lived here all my life and wouldn’t have it any other way.
At school, I write for our men’s ACHA (American Collegiate Hockey Association) team and the occasional article for my various classes. I also dabble in photography, so you might see some photos or videos from me soon.
I hope to bring a fresh style mixed with a modern, younger voice (and, let’s face it, audacity) and traditional training. I plan to write all styles of stories including a few columns in the mix to spruce things up.
