David L. Bailey, age 57, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2026, after a brief illness.
Dave was born on June 9, 1968, a son of the late H. Leo and Maxine I. (Thompson) Bailey.
He was a graduate of Canisteo Central School. Over the years Dave worked for Asplundh Tree Service, Davey Tree Service, A.L. Blades and most recently Alfred University. One of his favorite past times was spending time working on the Marlatt Racing Rush Crate Late Model Racecar #99 and race nights in Woodhull.
Dave is survived by his three nephews, David (Sarabeth) Ames, Devin (Dakota) Ames, Daltin (Karen VanFleet) Ames, and loving companion Debbie Rollins; as well as many close friends.
Dave was predeceased by his parents; brother, Gary L. Bailey, Sr.; sister, Gale Bailey; as well as his dog, Waylon.
At Dave’s request, there will be no services.
