There was a lot of buzz about this and the pitchers put on a show,” said Wellsville coach John Anderson. “Micah Marvin hit his spots and Arkport-Canaseraga put together timely hitting and great defense. They are a very well-coached team. Even though Micah reached the pitch limit, we knew Caden Carey would be tough — that combo showed why they won a state title in 2024. We play them two more times and our schedule is very tough down the stretch, so we are looking forward to the challenges.”

The Lions will face Arkport-Canaseraga again on Friday in Bolivar at 4:30 p.m. in the first round of the B-R tournament.
