BCS is proud to announce that the 2026 Valedictorian is William Guilford, and the Salutatorian is Rachel Merriam!

Will is graduating with a GPA of 96.8! The son of Zach and Mary Guilford has been active in soccer, golf, and basketball during high school and received the Big 30 Soccer All-star Award this year. He was also selected to attend the Section V All-Star Soccer trip to Greece, where he travelled and played in a number of soccer games! In addition to athletics, Will is a member of the National Honor Society, serves as Class President, and is very active on the Vex Robotics team 14711B Screwdriver! He has led his team to state championships and to the World Robotics Competition in Texas last year and St. Louis, Missouri this year! Will has volunteered his time in the summers as a youth soccer coach, has worked various construction jobs, and is currently employed at Moonwinks. Will started his own drone business, taking aerial photographs and video footage for various individuals and businesses. Next year, Will plans to continue his employment at Moonwinks and seek employment in the construction field at Robin Hood Home Improvement. Congratulations, Will!
Rachel is the daughter of Bob and Jenn Merriam. Rachel graduates with a cumulative GPA of 95.3 and has already earned 22 college credits! Rachel has been very active in our music and theatre departments, attending numerous All-County and Area All-State festivals for choir. Rachel has had leading and supporting roles in musicals throughout middle and high school! She is a member of the National Honor Society, the Student Council, the Yearbook Publications Class, and played JV volleyball. Rachel works as a babysitter and a dog sitter and is a member of the Belfast Free Methodist Church. She has volunteered her time as a photographer at numerous school sporting events. Next year, Rachel plans to attend Alfred University, where she will major in Psychology. Congratulations, Rachel!
