It was my honor to spend time with the 8th grade students from Olean Middle School during their visit to Washington. I love it when students from the district can see firsthand how their government works. Speaking to our young people about my own path from the Southern Tier to the halls of Congress and how they, too, can get engaged in public service is one of the most rewarding parts of the job. This was a great group of dynamic students who asked informative, thought-provoking questions and there is no doubt they are on the path to bright futures.
