Some bits and pieces from the Bills’ offseason:
Late last month, I was laying in Buffalo General Hospital awaiting the installation of a pacemaker … presumably proof that I actually have a heart.
But before I was wheeled to the operating room, a middle-aged registered nurse wandered in.
She was fascinated with what I did for a living.

That immediately put me in interview mode as she confessed to owning a pair of season tickets on the club level.
My first question was a bit indelicate.
“What did you pay for the PSLs?”
She had gone to the New Stadium Experience Center in Amherst and endured the tour and the whole marketing pitch.
“$6,000 per seat,” she allowed without changing expression before adding, “Of course that didn’t include the $500 per game per seat.
“No way could I afford $21,000 for two seats for nine football games … I usually give one of the tickets away, but not at that price “(over $1,000 per game).”
The Bills lost a customer that day she visited, but it didn’t matter, all 54,000 season tickets and their PSL’s sold out in what will be a 60,000 to 62,000-seat facility.
That’s nearly 10,000 fewer than its predecessor.
The reason for the discrepancy is supposedly due to the fact that the smaller stadium is seen as more intimate and will enhance the fan experience.
