Don’t miss this hilarous musical featuring top talent and award-winning production

From Wellsville Central School,

Nunsense is habit-forming!  In this acclaimed, uproarious musical, the Little Sisters of Hoboken are having a high-energy talent show to raise money so they can bury four of their fellow nuns who were accidentally poisoned by the convent cook.  Packed with show-stopping song-and-dance numbers, a disastrously funny trivia quiz, and even a ballerina nun, this show promises a night of pure, heavenly laughter.  Wellsville Secondary School is proud to be bringing this wacky and outrageous musical to our stage!  The cast is diligently rehearsing for performances on April 17th, 18th & 19th.  Audiences are sure to enjoy a laugh-out-loud time.

The Nunsense cast consists of 5 seniors—including Sierra Caruso as Reverend Mother and Norah Joslyn as Sister Mary Leo; 3 juniors—among them Tori Clemons, who won a Theatre Association of New York State (TANYS) acting award for Wellsville’s recent play, portraying Sister Mary Amnesia and operating her puppet Sister Mary Annette; 8 enthusiastic, talented sophomores and 5 fledgling freshmen who will impress everyone with their skill.

The show’s staff also has many TANYS award winners: Choreographer Kate Martelle, Costumer Amy Thomas, Musical Director Matthew Purks-Morris and Set Designer Mark Corwine.  They are applying their many talents to put together this show that has everyone in their habits on a fantastic set, producing amazing vocals and dances.

With Director Matt Warren at the helm, the show is on its way to being a show audiences will be excited to see.  “Dan Goggin’s Nunsense has been around for a long time and has spanned a score of sequels, television productions, and stage shows simply because it’s pure fun at the theatre. We want audiences to laugh, smile, and join in, as this show has frequent moments of audience participation.”

Whether you’re a devoted parishioner or enjoy a fun night out, you don’t have to be Catholic to fall in love with these fun-loving nuns!  Please mark your calendar to see Nunsense the Mega-Musical on April 17th & 18th at 7:00pm, or April 19th at 2:00pm in the Wellsville Secondary School Auditorium.
