Alfred State’s archery team delivered an outstanding performance this weekend at the prestigious Lancaster Classic and Easton Collegiate Trophy Tournament (Lancaster, PA), one of the largest national indoor archery events in the country.

Eleven archers competed against top collegiate talent from across the United States, earning multiple high-ranking finishes and showcasing the programs growth.

Adam Winter led the way for the Pioneers. He earned third place in the Men’s Fixed Pins competition to earn a spot on the podium. Brandon Stanton also turned heads with an impressive fifth place finish in ultra-competitive Men’s Compound Male division, further solidifying Alfred State’s competitive presence at the event.

In addition to the top individual finishes, Alfred State’s depth in the Men’s Bowhunter division was on full display. ASC placed seven archers among the top twenty in the Men’s Fixed Pins field.

“This tournament brings together some of the best collegiate archers in the nation,” said coach Greg Sammons. “Our athletes rose to the occasion and we’re incredibly proud of the way they represented Alfred State.”

The team now looks ahead to Indoor Nationals and the remainder of the indoor season with momentum and confidence.
