Local Democrats will be collecting essentials for the Cuba NY rescue this month
From ACDC,
BELMONT, NY — Joy Alyssa Day began rescuing cats as a teenager in 1980. She now uses her home in Cuba, NY (where she and her partner have a glass sculpture studio) to care for and re-home cats who show up in need.
“Most of the kitties I take in are feral or have been abandoned in my local area,” said Joy. “Some are pulled from high-kill pounds if I think they have a good chance at finding a home after treatment and socialization.” She even shelters kitties with terminal conditions in comforting sequestered areas. Joy has found good homes for over 120 kittens and cats!
A 501c3 charity, Joyful Kitties Rescue Sanctuary embraces a mission of “helping needy kitties, orphaned, abandoned, and feral cats; giving them health care, safety, love, good food, family, and furever homes.” Learn more at https://www.facebook.com/JoyousKitties/
