The opening night of Jingle and Glow ushered in the holiday season with an unforgettable display of small-town magic, community pride, and festive celebration. The event began as Santa Claus kicked off the Wellsville Chamber of Commerce’s Hometown Holiday Parade, leading it down Main Street with one of his first stops for the official lighting of the Jingle and Glow space.

Santa was joined by this year’s illumination presenting sponsor, Voni Walker of Walker Business & Staffing Services. Her support, and that of all the other sponsors, donors and volunteers, helped bring the vision of a sparkling and spirited Fassett Greenspace to life. As the lights came on, and holiday music provided by Marshall Green, the crowd was treated to a truly heartwarming scene of families, friends, and neighbors gathered in the crisp winter air, sharing in a sense of community that reflects the very best of small-town Americana.
Organized by the Thelma Rogers Genealogical and Historical Society, Jingle and Glow celebrates both the holiday season and the rich history of Wellsville. Proceeds from the event will support programs and initiatives that preserve the community’s heritage and sustain its stories for generations to come.

“Seeing everyone come together, children laughing, families smiling, music filling the air, was truly magical,” said event chair Jackie Comstock. “Watching our community gather in this beautifully lit space and continuing the stroll down Main Street to the hospital and library and then ending with the amazing firework display reminded us of what makes Wellsville special.”
In addition to the illuminated Greenspace, visitors were delighted to see that even the window displays across the street had been specially decorated by the committee, creating a cohesive and charming holiday corridor along Main Street.
The lights of Jingle and Glow will shine every evening from dusk until 9:00 p.m. through January 4th, offering residents and visitors many opportunities to stroll, enjoy the displays, and celebrate the season in the heart of downtown.
