Western Equestrian team display their awards following a successful weekend of riding at Slippery Rock University
The Alfred State Western Equestrian continued to impress with a pair of strong showings at the Storm Harbor Equestrian Center inSlippery Rock, PA. The team earned high-point honors on Saturday and reserve high-point on Sunday.
Ashley Wolfe and Paige Sims highlighted the weekend by earning a share of high-point rider honors during the Saturday show. Wolfe was first in Open Reigning and second in Open Horsemanship while Sims was first in Level 2 Horsemanship and second in Ranch Riding.
Makayla Darkow and Ruthie Dendis both earned first place in Rookie B Horsemanship on Saturday while Cloey Middaugh (Beginner), Laura Mills (Rookie A), and Alison Wojtkowiak (Rooke) all earned second place finishes.
On Sunday, Middaugh won the Beginner competition while Adilcia Thomas won in Rookie B. Morgan Stone was second in Rookie A, Wolfe was second in Open Horsemanship, and Wojtkowiak was second in Rookie.
The team travels back to West Virginia this coming weekend to compete Saturday and Sunday at the JW Ruby Research Farm.
