KEUKA PARK — The Keuka Storm Men’s Basketball team will kick off the 2025-2026 season Friday night Nov. 7 hosting The SUNY (Environmental Science and Forestry) ESF Might Oaks.

The Mighty Oaks feature Freshman Sawyer Devoe a Prattsburgh graduate who helped lead the Avoca-Prattsburgh Titans to back-to-back State Championships in 2022 and 2023.

The Mighty Oaks are 1-0 on the season with a win Sunday, defeating Paul Smiths, 83-75.

“Our team competes really hard; we grind every minute. If we cut down on our turnovers and rebound a little bit better will be really competitive,” ESF Coach John D’Antonio said.

Devoe was on the practice Squad at ESF last season and Coach John D’Antonio was so impressed with him he asked him to join the team this season. He wears #34.

“Not only is Sawyer a really good player, but he’s also a great young man and great teammate and has a constant motor, he’s the definition of giving 100%,” D’Antonio said.

Devoe had a storybook high school basketball career at A-P, scoring over 1,000 career points and being named Co-New York State Class D Player of the year with teammate Macoy Putnam.

Devoe grabbed 18 rebounds in the New York State Semifinals in 2023, for his career he grabbed 541 rebounds.

“He’s a tremendous rebounder and a great kid to coach,” D’Antonio added.

Devoe averaged 18.3 PPG his senior year at A-P.
