Honoring Allegany County Veterans and supporting “Operation Green Light”

Genesee Valley Central School invites all veterans, along with a guest, to a Veterans Recognition Concert on Tuesday, November 12, 2025, from 6:00–7:30 p.m. at the school.
Guests will be welcomed at 6:00 p.m. with a dessert bar provided by the Allegany County Dwyer Program for Veterans, followed by the concert beginning at 6:30 p.m. This special event offers an opportunity to honor the service and sacrifice of our veterans while enjoying music and connecting with the school community.
As part of Operation Green Light for Veterans, Allegany County will illuminate county buildings green starting Monday, November 3, 2025, to show support for veterans. Residents and local businesses are encouraged to participate by changing a single light bulb in their entryway to green, signaling appreciation for those who have served. Green light bulbs and brochures about the Dwyer Program are available for collection at participating locations.
