Dominic P. “Donny Pat” Conlan, 75, Hornell native

Dominic P. “Donny Pat” Conlan, 75, formerly of Hornell, passed away early Wednesday afternoon (Oct. 15, 2025) at the Cayuga Nursing Rehabilitation Center in Ithaca, NY where he has resided for the past seven years.

Born in Hornell on March 1950 he was a son of Robert Conlan, who predeceased him in 1955 and Josephine Nasca Conlan Nosky who predeceased him in 2018. Besides his parents he was also predeceased by his stepfather, James Nosky and his brother, Robert Conlan.

A resident of Hornell for most of his life, Dominic was a graduate of St. Ann’s School, Hornell High School, class of 1969, and received an associate’s degree from SUNY Farmingdale and a bachelor’s degree from St. Bonaventure University in Allegany, NY.

He resided in Rochester, NY for about 15 years before returning to Hornell in 1992, where he was employed by the City of Hornell Parks Dept.

While residing in Hornell Dominic was a member of Our Lady of the Valley Parish and was a communicant of St. Ann’s Church.  Throughout the years he enjoyed reading, gardening and travelling through Europe.

He is survived by his sister-in-law, Diana Conlan of Howard, NY and several cousins including the members of the Fagnan family.

To honor his wishes there will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in his memory at 10 a.m. Thursday (October 23, 2025) at St. Ann’s Church, 35 Erie Ave., Hornell. Private interment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Town of Fremont.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing may contribute in his memory to the Hornell Public Library, 64 Genesee St., Hornell, NY 14843. Envelopes for memorial contributions will be available at the church.
