Hilarious sketch comedy comes to the Nancy Howe Auditorium this weekend when Starlight Theatre Company performs “The Carol Burnett Show!” This variety show is based on the beloved long-running TV classic from the 1960s and 70s. Audience members will be transported back in time, becoming the live studio audience for a “taping” of “The Carol Burnett Show!”

Performances run September 26th at 7 PM and September 27th at 2 PM at the beautiful Nancy Howe Auditorium. Ticket are $10 and can be purchased at the door or ahead of time at L’Italia, The Shop at Main, the David A. Howe Public Library front desk, and online at www.zeffy.com/en-US/ticketing/the-carol-burnett-show. Doors open 30 minutes before showtime.

“We have laughed nonstop during rehearsals,” said co-director Ryan Keib. “These sketches are timelessly funny and will have the audience in stitches!” Co-director Bella Wenslow added, “This show is for everyone. You don’t have to be a huge fan of the original show to have a great time. Humor is universal and we promise to make you laugh!”

Audiences will delight in seeing many of their favorite sketches, such as “The Dentist,” as well as popular characters and maybe even the infamous curtain rod dress from the popular “Went with the Wind” parody. You won’t want to miss out!

This production is one of many exciting offerings at the David A. Howe Public Library, and Starlight Theatre Company wants to highlight that September is National Library Card Sign-Up Month! A library card is free and easy to get, and will unlock all sorts of fun and adventure the library has to offer. Be sure to swing by the library to pick up your library card and tickets to “The Carol Burnett Show!”
