Get your classic trucks and cars ready as all roads in Allegany County again lead to Wellsville, NY for the 10th Annual Ancient Order of Hibernians’ Park in the Park Car Show on September 6th, 2025. This years 10th anniversary AOH Car Show is also expecting to see a boost in the number of car and truck entries as Mike Hennessey and Allegany County Veterans Administration along with A C Dwyer are paying the $10 entry fee for any all veterans that bring their rides to Island Park for the car show! In addition, A C Dwyer and the Local Veterans Administration will also buy the veterans and their families lunch at the car show! The Veterans Administration also is sponsoring a special Veterans Best in Show trophy! The Allegany County AOH Division Division #1 applauds our local Veterans Administration and A C Dwyer’s efforts to support and recognize our local veterans and their families!
The Allegany County Ancient Order of Hibernians (AOH) Event Team has lined up 30+ Trophies this year which is again are supported by our local sponsors including Mark Bokman and his Bokman of Wellsville Chevrolet & GMC Truck dealership Team who has been the Main Sponsor of our AOH Car Show from the start of this event and provides great support.
We also have again Jeff Ryan and the Ryan Insurance Agencies step up big time in their sponsorship of trophies and supplying the physical Goodie bags to the first 100 show participants that register as has Mike Miller and his ALCO Federal Credit Union Team which has increased their sponsorship the past few years. Area Master Mechanic and Car Buffs Joe and Bonnie Collins at Collins Automotive as well as Shorts Propane & Oil, Shorts Deli, Mike Lindsay of Lindsay’s Plumbing & Heating, Shane Dunbar of Dunbar Performance, Olney Foust Funeral Homes and Chris Root at Root Water Well Specialists provide our AOH Division with great support for this event. Everyone’s sponsorship is appreciated by our AOH Division and is critical to helping grow this local car show event and make it a fun day for everyone to come out and see some awesome classic and muscle cars!
We also want to thank Town of Wellsville Supervisor Shad Alsworth and the Town Board for allowing us to have this Car Show in beautiful Island Park to showcase the beauty of Wellsville and the Allegany Wilds! The car show traditionally draws cars from all of Western and Central New York as well as Pennsylvannia, Ohio, New Jersey and Maryland so Wellsville and Allegany County get increased levels of outside visitors to our event to see our great area.
Registration for the show again starts at 10 am and the AOH Team will be there early setting up the registration. Please note that there is NO pre-registration this year so come early to the park and stay late for a great day of cars, food and blarney. The AOH Division lined up several local food and beverage trucks including The Dog Doctors, She Brews Coffee, Napoli Pizza and Out of the Box Food truck to serve hungry and thirsty show participants and spectators throughout the day. The AOH will have a 50/50 raffle that will be drawn right before the Trophies are awarded at approximately 2:30 pm Saturday September 6th by President John Dean and Event Co-Chair and AOH Vice President Matthew Cannon.
Prior to the awards there will also be again the popular engine blow up contest sponsored by Rich Leitzell and Leitzell’s Repair Shop in Wellsville. There will also again be a loudest exhaust contest to see who has the loudest ride in the Park measured by a decibel meter. During the show local fabric wizard Dana Flamini of Dana Lyn Designs will be also selling and taking orders for customized Car Show shirts and hoodies (pre show email danaflamini@yahoo.com
This is a great family oriented event to participate in and attend rain or shine to view all the great rides of yesteryear no matter what the weather ends up being! If it does rain a bit, bring your car and get a free car wash and windshield wiper action on your classic ride all while supporting the local AOH Fundraiser. The AOH September Car Show as well as our June AOH Irish Road Bowling Classic in Andover are our 2 main fundraisers. The profits from these events we use to support local charities in Allegany County including the Hart Comfort House of Allegany County, Catholic Charities Joyce Family Food Pantry in Wellsville (Which serves over 2100 local individuals facing food challenges), Fillmore, Alfred, Salvation Army and Cuba, NY Food Pantries, Wellsville Little League, Andover Wetland Fishing Derby, Allegany County District #4 Air Truck fund and the Shane Colligan Park in Wellsville. In addition, our local Allegany County AOH Division has provided 4 local college Bound graduates with $500 scholarships in June 2025 and we hope to expand all our support of local charities in Allegany County in the future.
