The ACCORD Business Center is offering a hands-on Entrepreneurship Training Course to help both new and experienced business owners gain the knowledge and confidence to run a successful business. Whether you’re starting from scratch or looking to strengthen an existing business, this course provides practical tools, clear guidance, and valuable connections.

This 10-week program meets on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM, starting on September 9th. Classes follow a curriculum approved by the NYS Entrepreneurship Assistance Centers (EAC) program, ensuring you get solid, up-to-date information on topics like business planning, marketing, financial management, and more. You’ll also hear from local guest speakers who will share real-life insights, lessons learned, and tips for success.

Registration is $100, and must be in the form of check/money order, paid prior to class start date.

Course graduation can lead to exclusive grant opportunities listed below:

Eligible businesses can enter the 2026 Business Plan Competition, an Empire State Development program designed to support local entrepreneurs with grant funding.

This competition builds on the success of our 2025 Business Plan Competition, where ACCORD awarded a total of $32,000 in prizes to three outstanding businesses. The event drew a strong turnout and showcased the innovation, dedication, and talent within our community.

The ACIDA Microenterprise Program offers a funding opportunity for eligbile businesses that are starting up or looking to expand. Businesses can receive grants of up to $35,000, with a required 10% match from the business owner. The program is designed to help strengthen the local economy by encouraging entrepreneurship, creating jobs, and supporting the growth of small businesses in our community.
