Proceeds will help fund monument to Revolutionary War era patriots in Angelica NY

The local chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution invite you to the Palmer Opera House in Cuba NY this Sunday, August 17 to introduce a new cookbook. The event will feature a great Chinese auction, raffles, live entertainment, genealogy searches, and guest speakers. The DAR ladies will have several of the recipes available for tasting!!
This cookbook isn’t just a must have for Allegany County and Revolutionary War buffs, it will help raise money for a very worthy project. The DAR group is planning to install a new monument in the Angelica, they explained:
“The monument that will honor all revolutionary patriots with a connection to Allegany Co. NY. and will be placed on the east side of the Town Square; in Angelica N.Y. in the summer of 2026. As a tribute to our country’s 250th anniversary, as well as the sacrifices made by our patriots.”

This book is a great read for anyone from the ages of 8 to 80, who is interested in Allegany Co. NY’s Revolutionary years. It is packed with Patriot bios, factoids, maps and so much more. The cost per book is $25. Until the end of December 2025.
