Today, the Whitesville Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to a tractor and baler fire that had spread into a nearby field. Upon arrival, the baler was fully involved, and the fire had already consumed approximately 4 acres and 12 large square bales of straw.

Weโ€™re also incredibly thankful for the mutual aid support from our neighboring departments:

Crews operated on scene from 5:22 PM to 8:14 PM โ€” nearly 3 hours โ€” working together to extinguish the fire and prevent further spread.
