Deborah A. Greeley, 72, of East Elm Street, passed away Wednesday morning (June 18, 2025) at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA. after a short illness.
Born in Hornell on May 20, 1953 she was the daughter of the late Eugene A. and Madeline H. (Kollra) Greeley.
A lifelong resident of Hornell, Debbie attended St. Ann’s School and was a graduate of Hornell High School, class of 1971; she also attended the nursing program at Alfred State College.
Before she retired Deb was employed for about 20 years as a nurse’s aide at the former McAuley Manor in North Hornell.
She attended the New Hope Wesleyan Church in Hornell and was a member of the Friends of the Hornell Public Library.
An avid reader, Debbie also enjoyed spending time watching movies.
She is lovingly survived by three brothers, Eugene Andrew “Andy” (Tomi) Greeley, Bob (Kathy) Greeley all of Hornell and Patrick (Ann) Greeley of Williamsville, NY; nine nieces and nephews, Lori Ann (Tim) Cray, Bobby Jr. (Jennifer) Greeley, Andrew Patrick Greeley, Kristina (Steve) Perry, Brendan Michael (Christina) Greeley, Patrick F. Greeley II, Kevin Andrew Greeley, Ryan Patrick Greeley and Connor Francis Greeley; as well as several great nieces and nephews.
There will be an hour of calling from 1 P.M. to 2 P.M. SUNDAY (JUNE 29, 2025) at the Bishop-Johnson & DeSanto Funeral Home, 285 Main St., Hornell where a funeral and committal service will take place at 2 P.M. SUNDAY with Pastor Natalie Churchman officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her parents at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Town of Fremont.
Her family would appreciate the courtesy of no flowers and suggest contributions to the Hornell Public Library, 64 Genesee St., Hornell, NY 14843. Envelopes for memorial contributions will be available at the funeral home.
