Bingham and Paulsen sworn in as University Police Officers

Cole Bingham and Crystal Paulsen were sworn in by Alfred State President Dr. Steven Mauro as the college’s newest University Police Officers.

“We are excited to add Cole and Crystal to our force,” commented Chief of Police Jeff Wilcox. “Their skills and abilities complement our staff and will ensure the safety of our students and those in our college community.”

Bingham (Livonia, NY) recently graduated from Alfred State with an associate degree in Criminal Justice. He is currently enrolled in the Alfred State Police Academy. Bingham graduated from Livonia High School and during his time at Alfred State he was a member of the Lumber Sports team.

Paulsen (Perry, NY) comes to Alfred State after serving as a patrolman for the Nunda Police Department. She also served in the Perry Police Department and works Parking Lot Patrol for the Buffalo Bills security team.

Paulsen earned an associate degree from Genesee Community College and a bachelor’s degree from Hilbert College. She graduated from the Rural Police Training Academy in 2021.

Both officers have already started their duties at the college.
