From the Monday Club Publicist Doris McFarquhar,

For their final spring meeting, the Monday Club enjoyed the energy, information and beautiful photo media  presented by Nick Davis, owner of Genesee Valley Media.  He showed short media clips,   examples of work he has created to help market travel to various destinations, as well as other types of advertising and information for his clients.  Production of photo media often includes getting involved in the action, as he did at the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome, taking a flight in one of the 1920’s vintage planes, at the New York Sherpa Show, or filming our local “Brew Witches”.

It all began with hands-on training in High School, fascination with cameras and photography to tell a story, and has evolved into the business of creating photo media for many different independent New York clients.  He cited examples of aerial work to help real estate agents market large properties, the local YMCA for a promotion of the Y’s Early Learning Center,  or filming Wellsville’s Ridgewalk and Run,  all requiring the use of different cameras, some self-focusing, plus adding music and narration to complete the media product.  Other projects have led to competition in a short film festival in France, a dance film on mental health, and podcasts for NDVision or on the WellsvilleSun.com.

In all of the fast paced, colorful examples shown, the joy and excitement of children, animals, action, and beautiful scenery are proof of Nick’s skill and talent.  His Media company,  started in 2018, has grown into a specialized business serving a variety of clients locally and around the state.

The Monday Club will conclude their spring series of meetings with a luncheon on June 3 and resume their meeting schedule after Labor Day.
