You are invited to an evening of mystery and fun at the Pound Auction on Saturday, June 7, 2025
At 6:00, there will be music, food, and drink, a cash bar, a “Chuck-a-Luck” game, and a wine-tasting featuring a selection from Harrington Owned Wine & Liquor. Starting at 7:00, attendees will have the chance to bid on mysterious “pound” packages—each weighing approximately one pound, but with unknown contents. Will it be coffee, art supplies, jewelry, seeds, cash—or maybe even gold or diamonds? You won’t know until you win! After the auction there will be trades! Larger ticket items will also be raffled off, giving everyone a chance to go home with something special.
This event is a fundraiser in support of the Belfast Public Library’s Capital Project, aimed at transforming the library into an accessible community space that unites the main library and the children’s collection into one building. Eventgoers will have the opportunity to learn more about the vision for the library and how they can help “Build a Better Belfast, Brick by Book.”
