At our Annual Allegany County Sheriff’s Office Awards & Recognition Ceremony held on April 24th, Sheriff Scott A. Cicirello recognized Corrections Officer Devon Green as the 2024 Corrections Officer of the Year.
Officer Devon Green has been with our office since 2016. He was nominated by his peers and supervisors for this award. He is described as selfless, dedicated, professional, detail oriented. He always takes time with new officers to answer questions and give guidance. He leads by example and has a strong work ethic. There is no task beneath him, and he offers to help in every situation. The example he sets for his fellow employees is representative of the person and the corrections officer that he is.
