Get paid to build your resume, free CPR certification included
From Allegany County,
Looking to make the most of your summer break? The Allegany County Summer Youth Employment Program is now accepting applications—and it’s your chance to gain valuable work experience and get paid for it!
Open to eligible youth across the county, this six-week program places participants with local businesses close to where they live. It’s a win-win: local employers get energetic, motivated help, and youth earn $15.50 an hour while learning real-world job skills.
Applications are available now through your school’s guidance counselor or directly on the Allegany County Office of Employment & Training website. Don’t wait—spots fill fast!
After on-site interviews at your school, participants are matched with local businesses based on interest and availability. If selected, you can begin work as early as July 7th!
Before the summer officially kicks off, all selected youth will attend orientation classes in early June, which include CPR certification—an added skill that’s great for any résumé.
Whether you’re saving for college, helping out at home, or just looking for meaningful ways to spend your summer, this is an amazing opportunity to grow your skills and your savings.
