From Alfred State College,
The Alfred State Drama Club is excited to present “Alice in Wonderland” as their spring production. Four performances will be held in the Cappadonia Auditorium from April 10 – 12.
“Alice in Wonderland”, based on the classic by Lewis Carroll and adapted by Anne Coulter Martens. Alice was just playing in the grass when suddenly an intriguing white rabbit passed her by. Little does Alice know that when she chases him, she’ll find herself down the rabbit hole and into a strange land, full of wonder and an assortment of mysterious characters! Desperately trying to get home, Alice will meet all the residents of Wonderland with plenty of adventure along the way! Join the Mad Hatter, Mr. White Rabbit, the Cheshire Cat, and more as we help Alice find her way back home.

Alexia Bell, a student in the diagnostic medical sonography program, stars as Alice. This is her fourth show with Drama Club. Anthony Woods, a second-year student in the architectural technology program, co-stars as Chessy, the Cheshire Cat. Anthony currently serves as treasurer for the Drama Club, and this is his fourth production, as well.
“This play is maybe one of my favorite plays of all time. I was actually in it the last time that the Drama Club did it, many years ago. It has been very special for me to be able to bring the play to life from the other side of the stage,” said Director Abby Hurley.
This show is appropriate for all audiences and open to all. Tickets are now on sale at the campus bookstore and can be purchased with cash, card, or CSA. Admission is $5 for students and $10 for general admission. Tickets will also be sold at the door for cash only.
Performances will be performed at 7 p.m. on April 10, 11, and 12.
