WELLSVILLE, NY — The Wellsville Area Chamber of Commerce and The Wellsville Development Corporation will be hosting their fourth annual Community Clean-up Day Saturday, April 12th (10am-2pm). This is a village-wide event and individuals, families, and organizations are encouraged to join!

How Community Clean-up Day Works:

1. Group/organization contact person stops by the Wellsville Area Chamber of Commerce office (114. N. Main Street, Wellsville) Saturday, April 12th between 10am-2pm to check-in and pick-up their cleaning assignment. Trash bags will be provided. Participants are encouraged to bring their own tools and gloves.

2.      Each participating group/business/organization will be assigned a “block” to clean-up and will receive a map with clean-up locations clearly marked upon check-in.

Suggested ways to clean-up assigned areas are to sweep sidewalks, pick-up trash, pull weeds, rake leaves, etc.

“Community Cleanup Day is a great way for families, businesses, and community groups to show support for our village,” says Bruce Thomas, Wellsville Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director. “Last year we had over 75 volunteers participate, and we are excited to continue this annual event, harnessing the power of cleanup to inspire people to make an impact on Wellsville’s business district. Join us for an hour or the whole day.”
