Get growing this Saturday in Wellsville

On Saturday, March 22, the David A. Howe Public Library will hold their Ready, Set, Bloom! event from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.! This event, planned in collaboration with Cornell Cooperative Extension Allegany, will celebrate the beginning of spring – the joyous season of growth.
Ready, Set, Bloom! is free, open to the public, and for people of all ages. CCE will have a Master Gardener on hand to answer questions about starting or improving your garden. Participants will have the opportunity to decorate a terracotta pot, fill it with soil, and plant some seeds. There will also be free seeds available, for those who would rather get their hands dirty at home, and other fun crafts to take part in. The library will definitely be serving up some spring-themed sweet treats and likely have some cute creatures on site, as well.
Ready, Set, Bloom! is scheduled to take place on the Library’s front lawn but, in case of inclement weather, the event will move into the Howe Gallery. Contact the library with any questions (585.593.3410 or wellsville@stls.org).
