Academic All-Stars Competition Continues

STEUBEN COUNTY- After a week off due to the Winter Break, All-Stars competition continued Monday night with some very close and exciting matches.

In the Large School Division Hornell showed their strength once again by defeating Bath 41 – 27.  The Corning teams competed against each other and Corning Black came out on top with a close score of 35 – 34.

Canisteo-Greenwood continued their winning streak in the Medium-Large School Division with a win of 55 – 21 over Addison. Naples had a strong night beating Campell-Savona 46 – 24.

The Medium-Small School Division saw their first tie of the season in regular match play.  After the tie-breaking questions Hammondsport came away with a 46 – 45 win over Alfred-Almond, upsetting their undefeated record.  J-T bested Arkport in the second match 46 – 8.

The Small School Division also saw some close matches.  Bradford started off the night with a win over Canaseraga, 13 – 7.  Prattsburgh was able to hold on to the lead throughout the match, finishing with a score of 32 – 28 over Avoca.
