To continue the focus on the well-being of our local law enforcement and emergency services personnel, the Officer Wellness Program is bringing martial arts to Allegany County. This Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu seminar will offer an introduction to a practical and useful skill set, as well as an excellent outlet for stress, at the Belmont BOCES Center on Saturday February 22 from 9-11am.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, or BJJ, is a form of martial arts which uses grappling techniques to control opponents into submission. This introduction is the Officer Wellness Program from the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office, open to all members of law enforcement, EMS, Fire/Rescue, and court staff. The training is free and anyone can learn BJJ.
The event will have four instructors including: Marc Agnello, Ian Jones, Cory Thomas, and Miguel Bermudez. Lunch will be served following the event.
