My name is Bill Meunier. I am officially announcing my candidacy for Allegany County Board of Legislators, district Three. I have been married for over 30 years. Have two sons, three grandchildren and have lived in the town of Whitesville for the last 45 years.
If elected my aim is to help keep the county fiscally responsible and keep the tax burden as low as possible. Our duty in government is to lookout for the people we represent. I am not running to change the world, just offer my conservative and common sense point of view.
I have been in the wood industry for forty five years. Most recently general manager for twenty one years at Whitesville Wood Products. I have served on the Independence Town Board for Ten years, the last four years I have been deputy Supervisor. I have served on Whitesville Water Board for the last nine years. I served on the Independence Bicentennial planning committee for two years.
In conclusion I look forward to your support as a legislator for district three.
