This week’s associate spotlight shines on Bobby Brainard, Customer Technology Specialist Lead at JMH for 23 years. Thank you for all you do!
What is your favorite part of working at Jones Memorial?
Bobby: I guess the fact that for my job things change fairly frequently. I get to see new tech.
What is the most interesting project you’ve worked on?
Bobby: Upgrading the Jones email server. It was being upgraded from Exchange 5.5 to Exchange 2008. I got to build a sandbox and test out the migration process. It took a number of tries before it was successfully tested.
What’s something about you (a fun fact) that not many people know?
Bobby: I have been to all 50 states and most of the Canadian provinces. Except for Hawaii of course, we drove to visit all of them. On the way to Alaska we broke down in the Yukon and were stuck there for 3 days waiting for a transmission.
What’s the last book you read? Who wrote it?
Bobby: Last book I read was a kids book to my kids. I can’t recall the name of the book.
What is your favorite hobby?
Bobby: Reading, although i haven’t had time to in a while.
What’s the first concert you ever attended? Who were you with? Where was it?
Bobby: 3 Dog Night at the State Fair with my family.
What’s is on your Bucket List? Travel plan, person to meet, event to attend, activity to participate in?
Bobby: Visit Japan and parts of Europe
Are you currently binge-watching any shows?
Bobby: Reacher season 2 on Amazon. Also started The Chosen.
If you had to eat one meal or food every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Bobby: Not sure, some would guess an omelet for me I’m sure since it’s what I have for breakfast here at work.
