New Students at Alfred State joined together to form their first “A” days before the start of the 2024-25 academic year

Campus improvements, numerous honors and awards, and successful events highlighted 2024 at Alfred State.
The college’s infrastructure project is drawing to a conclusion and the renovation of the Agricultural Sciences Building has started to highlight the $200 million in campus improvements. The completion of the MacKenzie Complex project was celebrated completed at the close of the 2023-24 school year as well.
Students also got to enjoy three new spaces outside the classroom. A Fitness Studio was opened in Shults Hall, a Recording Studio was opened in the Student Leadership Center, and a Disc Golf Course was built and opened above the intramural fields.
Faculty and staff continued to receive honors for their work at the college and in the community.

- Justin Dix and Jon Nickerson honored with Leadership through Civic Engagement award
- Alfred State honors Constantine for 50 years of service
Alfred State’s steady enrollment growth and increased interest in 2024 has made campus events like Commencement (Alfred and Northland), Honors Convocation, and New Student Convocation larger. Smaller campus events like Signing Day and First-Generation Day have brought the spotlight on students and their success at Alfred State.
Excitement is high as Alfred State heads into 2025.
